Our awnings are pre-assembled; you only need to secure them to the structurally sound wall. You do not have to wind down the awning all the way. The gearbox system will keep a drop of the awning at any desired height. The bottom bar of the awning can be hooked by using a stainless still buckle and the fabric will be held taught by lightly tensioning it using a gearbox
